This indie graphic novel work in progress shows the early storyboard and layout process behind Book 2, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how comic pages are built from rough sketches to final art.
Here we go again…
I’ve started work on Book 2: The Trail of a Killer and wanted to share an early look at the process. I’ve taken Scene 1 and laid it out across the first two pages, blocking out the flow, pacing, and key beats.
At this stage it’s all rough—loose sketches, structure first, detail later—but I’m really happy with how it’s coming together. The focus right now is making sure each panel carries weight and the tension builds visually, not just through dialogue.
Next step is refinement—tightening the artwork, sharpening the compositions, and pushing the atmosphere further.
More to come as it evolves.
