The grey house

Some places leave behind memories. Others leave behind warnings.

The Grey House has been called many things over the years: an abandoned farmhouse, a local legend, a winter tale told to children who wandered too far into the woods. Yet no two surviving accounts agree entirely on what happened there, or even upon the nature of the house itself.

The records gathered here are drawn from scattered testimonies, recovered journals, regional folklore and fragments whose origins are no longer certain. Some contradict one another. Others appear incomplete. The Archive has chosen to preserve these inconsistencies rather than resolve them.

Whether the Grey House is remembered as history, folklore or something that lies uneasily between the two is left to the reader.

As with every collection preserved within the Attic, these records are intended to deepen the world rather than explain it. Some questions may find partial answers here.
